She quit the TV series 7th Heaven in season six. In the movie Ulee's Gold, she gained instant recognition for her excellent acting. This film won her the award for Best Supporting Female actress. Summer Catch, the comedy film in which she stars is a testament to her impressive acting abilities. Although she delivered an impressive performance, Rules of Attraction didn't draw much attention. The film that was a horror The Texas Chainshaw Massacre brought her to the attention by the media. Additionally, she's worked on suspense and thriller films.
